Okay, let's talk about something super real — pillows! We all use them every night (unless you're on the floor ninja-style 🥷), but have you ever wondered if sleeping on a higher pillow is actually better for your neck, your sleep, or just your vibe?
I went through a whole phase of stacking up two pillows because it felt more "luxurious"… but wow, my body did not agree. So let me share what I learned the hard way — it might save you a few stiff mornings.

I used to think "the higher, the better" 🛏️

For a while, I really believed that a big fluffy pillow made sleep more comfortable. It felt cozy at first, kind of like sinking into a hotel bed. But after a few nights? I started waking up with a stiff neck and sore shoulders. I brushed it off at first, thinking maybe I slept weird… until it became a daily thing. 🙃

So I did a little digging 🧐

Turns out, pillow height really does affect how we sleep — especially for our neck and spine. When your pillow is too high, it pushes your head forward, which bends your neck in an unnatural position. That's why I was waking up sore!
Experts say the best pillow height depends on how you sleep:
• Back sleepers: A medium-low pillow is usually best.
• Side sleepers: You might need something a bit higher to fill the gap between your shoulder and head.
• Stomach sleepers: A super flat or no pillow is ideal (and yes, I'm jealous of you guys).

What happened when I switched? 💡

I swapped my tall pillow for a flatter, memory foam one — and oh my goodness, what a difference! The first night, I wasn't sure. It felt… too low. But by night three, I was sleeping deeper, waking up less, and my neck pain basically vanished 🙌
Also, no more tossing and turning trying to "adjust the pillow mountain" every night 😂

Bonus: Breathing and posture 💨

I also found that I breathe better with a lower pillow. My throat doesn't feel crunched up, and I wake up feeling more refreshed. Plus, better alignment = better posture during the day. My shoulders don't feel like they're permanently hunched anymore.
