Imagine stepping into a peaceful seaside town where golden beaches meet charming streets and fresh sea air fills every corner.
We invite you to Wustrow, a small coastal resort town on the Fischland Peninsula in northern Germany, nestled between the Baltic Sea and the Saaler Bodden.
This charming town is perfect for beach strolls, nature walks, and soaking in the relaxed German coastal atmosphere. Wustrow’s small population and friendly vibe make it ideal for travelers seeking calm and authentic experiences.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Wustrow is May to September, when the weather is mild and suitable for outdoor activities and beach time. In August, average air and water temperatures can both reach around 19–20°C, making it comfortable for walks on the natural sandy beach and seaside exploration. In spring and early autumn, the scenery is still beautiful with fewer crowds. Outside these months, Wustrow can feel quiet and some seasonal services like bike rentals or markets may reduce their hours.

How to Get There

By Train + Bus:
- Take a regional train to Ribnitz-Damgarten West, then hop on bus #210 to Wustrow. Bicycles are usually allowed on both trains and buses, so we often bring ours for easy exploration.
- Ticket prices for regional trains vary by origin, but booking in advance usually saves money.
By Bus:
- Local buses connect Wustrow with nearby towns; ticket prices are modest and vary by distance.
By Car:
- Enter “Ostseebad Wustrow” in your GPS. In peak season, buses run regularly; the scenic drive along coastal roads is enjoyable.

With your local tourist card (Kurkarte), the 7‑day ticket costs about $33 for adults (15+ years) and $23 for children (6–14 years). Luggage and bikes are usually included free of charge.

Exploring Wustrow Beach

Wustrow’s beach stretches about 4.8 kilometres of fine natural sand and is perfect for a peaceful day by the Baltic Sea. The beach is free to access year‑round, and there’s no entrance fee, although facilities are limited since it’s mostly an undeveloped natural shoreline. Enjoy walking, swimming (in warmer months), or picnics here. Nearby, the seaside path and dunes offer scenic routes for sunrise and sunset walks.
